The International League Against Epilepsy (ILAE) and the International Bureau for Epilepsy (IBE), invite you to the  5th African Epilepsy Congress (AEC) where participants will explore groundbreaking advancements in both basic and clinical epileptology, address key social issues related to epilepsy, and strengthen the bonds among researchers, clinicians, caregivers, and healthcare practitioners from across the African continent. This year’s programme will be dynamic and impactful, featuring innovative sessions, including a dedicated teaching day on Epilepsy Training in Adult Medicine (ETAM), and a forward-thinking workshop on Artificial Intelligence in healthcare.

The African Epilepsy Congress aims to bring together researchers, clinicians, caregivers, and healthcare practitioners from across Africa to discuss and advance knowledge about epilepsy, address key social issues related to the condition, and improve access to quality epilepsy care across the continent, by fostering collaboration and research on the topic while promoting awareness and advocacy for people living with epilepsy.
